Auditions:
Monday, August 25th, 2025 at 6:30pm- 8pm
Callbacks: Callbacks will take place on the same day Monday August 25th at 8pm.

The Auditions: Auditions are the actor’s opportunity to showcase their acting, vocal, and movement talents, as well as their personality and ability to prepare. Prior to the auditions, you must submit an Online Audition Form. Performers are then encouraged to make an appointment via Sign Up Genius. Those without an appointment will be seen on a walk-in basis, as time permits.
Audition Requirements: please prepare a side with material from Mojada. Audition Materials Folder can be found below.
Video Auditions: If you are unable to make the general auditions (we strongly recommend an in person audition), an accompanied video recording of the required materials specified above may be submitted on or before August 25th at 8:00 PM to SelmaArtsCenterAuditions@gmail.com. Please send via unlisted YouTube link.
The Callbacks: Callbacks provide our creative team with the opportunity to see an actors’ abilities and versatility when applied to this production. Some actors may be let go before the end of callbacks. However, early dismissal does not affect any actors’ chance of being cast.

CDC Guidelines: There is no current mask mandate, but you are welcome to be masked for your own safety. Masks may be enforced throughout the rehearsal process. Guidelines are subject to change.
Rehearsal Dates and Times:
There will be a cast and company meeting/orientation on August 26th, 2025 at 6:30pm at the Selma Senior Center.
Rehearsals for this production will be held Sunday through Wednesday from 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Performances:
Running October 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 16th, 17th, and 18th for a total of 12 performances.
The show runs for a total of three weekends. All evening performances begin at 7:30pm and matinee performances begin at 2:00pm.

Age Restriction: All Actors must be over the age of 10 by the first day of auditions (September 8th, 2025) in order to participate tin this production.
Auditions:
The Auditions: Auditions are the actor’s opportunity to showcase their acting, vocal, and movement talents, as well as their personality and ability to prepare. Although singing is important, remember what we really want to see is who you are!
Prior to the auditions, you must submit an Online Audition Form. Performers are then encouraged to make an appointment via Sign Up Genius. Those without an appointment will be seen on a walk-in basis, as time permits.
Audition Requirements: please prepare approximately 16-32 bars of music in the style of contemporary musical theatre. We ask that you not audition with material from A Christmas Story. Please bring your own instrumental or karaoke track, bluetooth speaker will be provided. Per tracks, we recommend downloading or screen recording your music to your device prior to your audition, as to avoid any potential wifi connectivity issues.
Video Auditions: If you are unable to make the general auditions (we strongly recommend an in person audition), an accompanied video recording of the required materials specified above may be submitted before September 9th at 8:00 PM to SelmaArtsCenterAuditions@gmail.com. Please send via unlisted YouTube link. However, you MUST attend the mandatory callback (should you be called back) on September 10th at 6:30 PM in order to be considered for a role. If this is not possible, please email our stage manager, MO’nique Montes at monique.montes57@gmail.com, with any questions or concerns.
The Callbacks: Callbacks provide our creative team with the opportunity to see an actors’ abilities and versatility when applied to this production. The callbacks will be split into three sections; a singing portion, a dancing portion and an acting portion. As we will be asking many things of you, please dress in whatever you’re most comfortable in and be prepared for movement! Some actors may be let go before the end of callbacks. However, early dismissal does not affect any actors’ chance of being cast.
This production is rated ‘PG’
Performances: November 7th - November 30th 2025 (Total of 16 Performances in 4 weekends)
